Ideas on content for my Youtube channel never stop coming to mind for me. This one was a big one and I may have underestimated the project just slightly...
As a really versatile artist, I thought why not create one bad ass design and bring it to life in four completely different ways! So I set to work on what would be a 4 week long progress of drawing, painting, tattooing and vlogging.
I ended up enjoying 50% of it (creating the art) and hating the other 50% (mainly the video editing). If you'd like to see how I create all of these artworks, you can find the video at the bottom of the page.
Here are some progress shots and final shots of the four pieces, enjoy!

original design created in pencil and then lined over with a 0.8mm fineliner and coloured with alcohol based markers
Painting created using acrylics, water based markers & artist spray paint. I also used the original design, scaled it up to size and made a giant carbon transfer to ensure the design stay true to the original and also save on unnecessary time wasting.

The masking process was a painstaking 1.5 hours and drove me to near insanity. At least the outlining was fun!
The digital version was created using the XP-Pen Artist22E Pro 22" drawing tablet and using Adobe photoshop. Using my initiative, I was able to re-draw straight over the top of my original design to ensure proportions were the same.

And finally the tattoo. For this I purchased a Traditional colour ink set by Radiant inks and it was great practice for packing in colour! Unfortunately, the fake skin I had purchased was extremely tough and proved quite the challenge to get it to hold the ink!
